1. ::First you will want to start with a circle for the main part of the head. Then place a vertical line for the center of the head. This will help center everything on the face and center the jaw. Then two horizontal lines for the space that the eyes will be occupying.
2. ::Second. Try to keep every thing mirrored. Start the top of the jaw at the top of the eye lines and bring them down equal to the bottom of the circle. Then depending on what type of character brings the rest of the jaw down and connects with a base line. The size of the base line depends on what kind of character you want.
3. :: Third. Erase guide lines and make sure everything is symmetrical. After this you can start adding facial features, hair, and other things.

::3/4's View
1. :: First. Same circle technique. Then instead of a straight line, draw a line matching the curve of the center of the face. Also the lines for the eyes are also curved to the contours of the face. The 3/4's view is the hardest to learn and draw. Be patient with this one, it takes time.
2. :: Second. This part is very hard and it takes time to get the hang of. But I will explain it the best i can. Start at the top eye line and curve down for the eye socket. Then make the cheek bone, at the base of the circle, then add the jaw. Then finish up by curving up for the jawbone and connecting the jawbone with the ear. Third. Now erase the guide lines add facial features and hair. Practice the 3/4's a lot. This is the view that you will use the most.
3. :: Third. Now erase the guide lines add facial features and hair. Practice the 3/4's alot. This is the view that you will use the most.

::Side View
1. :: First. Same circle technique. Next draw a line from the top eye line out from the edge of the circle. curve it down to a little past the bottom of the circle. This is used to create the contour of the face.
2. :: second. Next start at the top eye line and curve in from the inner edge of the circle. Then go down to the second eye line and connect it to the edge of the circle. Next create the nose oand the mouth and then do a 90 degree for the chin. Now you will need to guess wher your neck starts. It depends on the character.
3. :: Third. Now erase the guide lines, add hair, and other facial featers. Remember look at over styles and practice. That does it for the basic head tutorial good luck and keep drawing.
